RNID is the largest UK charity supporting people living with hearing loss and tinnitus.
RNID offer Hearing Aid Maintenance and Repairs through our RNID Near You Services, we need more volunteers to open our monthly drop-in services across Cardiff and the Vale:
Hearing Aid Maintenance Volunteers receive full training from Cardiff and the Vale Audiology Team, learn how to change batteries, re tube and set up Bluetooth connections to support people with hearing loss.
Meet and Greet Volunteers assist people with registration, support people with enquiries and offer a friendly face when people arrive to our services.
Other volunteer roles include, administration, providing free hearing checks and promoting our services locally.
Patience empathy and commitment to at least one drop-in service for 2 hrs per month.
RNID in Communities offer community talks to groups and organisations offering information on hearing loss, communication tips, promoting the services that RNID offer locally and Nationally and deliver free hearing checks for attendees of these sessions.
RNID Community Volunteers If you like talking to people, feel confident giving a talk to small groups and want to support RNID to raise awareness of living with hearing loss, this role is for you, flexible, full training and we pay volunteer travel expenses.
