COVID 19 Resources

There are a number of resources and partners available to help community groups, volunteers and good neighbours during and beyond the COVID 19 crisis.

Volunteer Shopping Advice

There will be times when volunteers or neighbours are asked to buy essential items for someone in the community. To avoid any possibility for financial abuse, or misunderstandings, the WCVA (Wales Council for Voluntary Action) has developed best practice advice. Cardiff Council has also set up a complimentary summary of this advice as a user friendly/ quick guide option.

Safeguarding Awareness

Safeguarding is about protecting children and adults from abuse or neglect. It is also about making sure children and adults enjoy good health, develop well and take a full and active role in their communities. You can find more information and advice on Safeguarding by visiting the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Regional Safeguarding Board website.

Domestic Abuse Awareness

NHS Wales are hosting a free 45 minute “Violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence” e-module to help you in taking action safely if you see signs of or suspect any form of domestic abuse within a household you are supporting or in connection with.
