Friends of Rhiwbina Library is a local community group set up several years ago to support the continuation of library services in Rhiwbina village, North Cardiff.
A group of local people support the library by arranging and publicising activities: groups, talks and events for adults. On a monthly basis we have a Local History group, a Board game group and a Jigsaw library, as well as a Quiz and Cuppa and monthly speaker programme.
Friends of Rhiwbina Library encourages local people, over the age of 18, to become members and volunteer to be involved in planning, setting up and running events. Anyone with ideas about what activities might be arranged, or with a particular skill they would like to share would be very welcome, as would willing helpers.
You can volunteer to support these activities – as much or as little as you’d like, to fit in with your busy lives and responsibilities.
We are looking for 2-3 people to take over our successful monthly speaker events from September 2025. This includes sourcing speakers, promoting the events and event management on the night.
Please get in touch if you would like to get involved and help us continue these events.
