The Gulab Sorkh Foundation is a UK charity supporting Afghan families and individuals who have been resettled in the United Kingdom through government relocation schemes. Our mission is to help people rebuild their lives with dignity, independence, and a strong sense of belonging within their new communities.
Through the Communities for Afghans project, we work closely with local volunteers, community groups, and organisations to provide practical and emotional support as families settle into their new lives. This includes support with housing, education, healthcare access, community integration, and social connection.
Volunteers are an important part of our work. Individuals or groups of friends are welcome to join welcoming groups that support newly arrived families through friendship, guidance, community activities, and practical assistance.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and community-minded volunteers who are passionate about creating welcoming and inclusive communities where Afghan families can feel safe, supported, and connected.
