Hockey Wales is the National Governing Body for hockey across Wales. The organisation works to support both national hockey teams as well as assisting in the development of grassroots hockey played within clubs and schools.
The current volunteering opportunities available range from Team Liaison Officers through to Ball Patrol.
ROLE: Team Liaison Officer – you’ll be responsible for managing the week-long timetable of one of the visiting international hockey teams competing in this year’s European Championship tournament. The role includes communicating with the team manager of the squad and with your contact at Hockey Wales, making sure the team understand where their staying, training times, location of training etc.
Full training will be provided in advance of the tournament.
ROLE: Ball Patrol – you’ll have a good knowledge of hockey and the rules plus be able to follow play and keep good concentration levels throughout the game.
