| Space4U is a small charity offering friendship and support to people who are asylum seekers and refugees in Cardiff. We provide a comfortable and welcoming space for our community to meet and we offer one-to-one help and information, English classes, food and clothing support, and recreational activities. We are run entirely by volunteers and we are based at the Trinity Centre in Cardiff.
We are seeking to recruit two new trustees who support our organisation’s aims and values and who will uphold good governance and broaden the expertise of the board. We are particularly keen to hear from those with a lived experience of the asylum process and from individuals with the following skills, knowledge and experience: – Developing, implementing and monitoring policies on the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. – Designing and implementing a digital and social media presence and associated marketing, preferably in the third sector. – Strategic planning and change management, preferably in the third sector.
