Target Ovarian Cancer work to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer across all four nations of the UK. We work with women, family members and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for those living with ovarian cancer.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team at our flagship fundraising event, The Ovarian Cancer Walk. This will be held on 16 May at Bute Park, Cardiff, and this is the first fundraising event the charity has hosted in Wales (we have previously held support events for women with ovarian cancer in Wales).
There are a variety of roles that volunteers can choose from to suit their availability on the day- from welcoming people at the beginning to directing them around the course, taking photographs and handing out medals at the end. We will pay reasonable public transport expenses and provide volunteers with a t-shirt and snacks, and a goody bag No previous knowledge or skills are required, we just ask that volunteers arrive with a friendly smile and can encourage our supporters with enthusiasm
