The objective of the volunteering :
To help SNAP Cymru provide an independent parental supporter service to all families who require one.
Confidential, accurate information, impartial advice and support about concerns that may affect children and young people’s education.
o Provide local, accurate, impartial information advice and support to families, children and young people.
o Offer a ‘listening ear’ an opportunity for families to talk things through.
o To listen to concerns.
o To offer friendly objective support.
o To help families to identify the issues.
o To accompany parents to meetings if appropriate.
o Ability to communicate with parents and professionals.
o Solution focused.
o Educational experience.
o Partnership working.
