City Hospice is Cardiff’s local hospice supporting patients with incurable illnesses in their own homes. We provide specialist care for people at home, counselling for adults and children, welfare benefits advice and day centres with a range of activities. We help our patients live life to the full and make sure that the end of their lives is as comfortable as possible.
We’re looking for bright and cheerful volunteer receptionists to meet and greet patients and visitors to our hospice site in Whitchurch.
The role involves meeting and greeting a wide variety of visitors to the hospice as well as directing incoming phone calls. It is a busy position and can involve dealing with patients or family members and is great if you’re a people person and like meeting new people.
It’s the perfect time to join as we’ve recently refurbished our reception to be a bright, light and welcoming environment.
Shifts on our reception desk typically last 3 hours and work on a rota system. We’re currently interested in hearing from people to volunteer on Fridays and during periods of sickness and absence.
