|The British Red Cross supports individuals and communities facing crisis. In Wales our emergency response teams respond to fires, floods and large scale emergencies while our first aid trainers provide training in skills that literally save lives. We also provide mobility aids, and our home from hospital scheme helps free up much needed beds and helps people settle in back home.
Our fundraising team works with the people who make this possible, our volunteer fundraisers and our generous supporters.
Role 1: Office volunteer
Currently we’re looking for somebody, with at least basic skills using programmes such as Microsoft Word and Excel, to help in our Cardiff office with general admin and research tasks. These include sending thank you letters, recording donations, researching funding opportunities and taking messages. We ask for volunteers to be available a minimum of 1 day every 2 weeks, for a minimum period of 3 months.
Role 2: Collections volunteer
We’re looking for friendly volunteers to help us organise and run bucket collections in the Cardiff area. The ideal volunteer will be comfortable speaking to the public, and will receive full training so they understand the British Red Cross, our values and work. The role will include working with the senior Community Fundraiser to identify locations for collections, collecting, banking and recording money with the possibility to also help with recruiting and training other volunteer collectors.
We ask for a minimum commitment of 1 day every 2 months
