My Sikh faith is very important to me so I would love a female volunteer who is also part of the Sikh community and can speak Punjabi. Dimensions provides support for around 3,500 other people with learning disabilities and autism across the UK. We help them to live more independently and access their local communities.
We are looking for buddy’s who can commit to a couple of hours at least once a week to spend some time volunteering with a lady we support. This is the perfect opportunity to give a couple of hours doing something you enjoy, and make friends along the way. No specific experience is required, however experience with adults with disabilities would be desirable.
We would ask the volunteer to commit to attending their role on a regular basis. Stability and routine are vital in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism.
