Register opportunities We are always
looking for new volunteering opportunities in Cardiff for the 1000+ volunteers
that we advise each year. If you would like to register a new volunteering
opportunity with us then please contact us and ask for a Opportunity
Registration Form. We ask that all organisations that register with us
to accept the Volunteers’ Charter, the details of which are set out at the
bottom of this page.
Once the opportunity is registered, any member of
the public will be free to view the advert and apply so it is your
responsibility to make sure that they are suitable for your project and to
conduct CRB checks if appropriate. More information on the recruitment and
retention of volunteers can found in the Information Sheets
section.
Please bear in mind that we cannot register
political organisations or those without insurance for their
volunteers.
Update your
details
We constantly
update and amend the voluntary opportunities registered with us. If your
details have changed please contact us to let us know.
Organisational support
visits
Members of the VCS
team visit 50+ voluntary organisations each year to discuss their requirements
in further detail. Such visits provide an opportunity to register new
opportunities and review current volunteering policies and practices. The aim of
these visits is to promote good practice in volunteer management, find solutions
to any problems and source further information if it’s required.
If you feel that your organisation would benefit
from such a visit then please contact us to book an appointment.
You may
also wish to consider looking into Investors in Volunteers, the UK quality standard for
all organisations which involve volunteers in their work. For more details go
to the 'Information Sheets' section and see sheet 4.14
