Voluntary Community Service, more often referred to as VCS, is the Volunteer Centre for the county of Cardiff. We are funded by Cardiff County Council, the Welsh Assembly Government’s core funding for Volunteer Centres, Millennium Volunteers and the Russell Commission.
We exist to:
- Encourage volunteering in Cardiff
- Provide information to volunteers
- Support volunteers
- Promote good-practice to volunteer-involving organisations
- Celebrate volunteers
VCS encourages voluntary work by all sections of the Cardiff community and supports a policy that everybody has something to offer and is able to become a valued volunteer.
